Drawing from the wealth of information and photographs meticulously gathered by Roy Yardley in his renowned ‘Down Memory Lane’ history book, we embarked on the exciting journey of designing an extensive timeline board that spans over 2 meters.
This project aimed to encapsulate and visually represent the rich historical narrative that Yardley so passionately documented. Each segment of the timeline was carefully crafted to highlight significant events, notable figures, and pivotal moments, ensuring that both the visual and informational elements were engaging and educational. The end result is a comprehensive and immersive historical display that invites viewers to traverse through time, gaining deeper insights and appreciation for the historical context presented.
100+ Years of Rich History
This project involved extensive research covering over a century of the club’s rich history. We meticulously gathered and highlighted all the standout moments and pivotal events that have shaped the club over the years. Our historical journey begins in 1913 when the team was originally known as Alvechurch Swifts. During this period, they played their matches at Crown Meadow and used the Red Lion pub as their headquarters, establishing the foundation for what would become a long and storied legacy.
